This policy explains how Saferoad Information Technology (شركة الطريق الآمن لتكنولوجيا المعلومات) ("Saferoad", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares and protects personal data when you visit our website, complete one of our online or social media forms, subscribe to our communications, or otherwise contact us.

We process personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Law of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (Royal Decree No. M/19, as amended) and its Implementing Regulations ("PDPL"), together with any other data protection laws that apply to you.
2. What this policy covers — and what it does not
This policy covers personal data we collect through our marketing and commercial channels: our website, our advertising and lead generation forms, our email and messaging campaigns, our events, and our general business correspondence.
This policy does not cover personal data processed through the Saferoad fleet management, telematics and licensing platforms that we provide to our corporate customers (app.saferoad.net and the Saferoad Operations portal). In those services we generally act as a data processor on behalf of the customer, and that processing is governed by the agreement between Saferoad and that customer. If you are a driver or employee of a Saferoad customer, please contact your employer in the first instance.
3. Personal data we collect
Data you give us directly. When you complete a form, request a demonstration, download a resource, subscribe to updates, register for an event or contact our team, we may collect:
- Full name
- Business email address
- Mobile or landline telephone number
- Job title and seniority
- Company or organisation name, industry and size
- Region or city
- Fleet size, vehicle type or other information relevant to your enquiry
- The content of your message or enquiry
- Your marketing preferences and any consents you have given
Data collected automatically. When you browse our website we may collect technical data including your IP address, approximate location derived from it, device type, browser, operating system, referring website, pages viewed, time spent and links clicked. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies — see section 7.
Data from third parties. We may receive your personal data from advertising and social media platforms (such as LinkedIn) when you submit one of our forms hosted on those platforms, from our channel and white-label partners, from event organisers where you have consented, and from publicly available business sources such as company websites and professional networking profiles.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data through our marketing channels, and we ask that you do not include such data in your enquiries.

Where we rely on your consent, you are free to refuse or withdraw it at any time without affecting our provision of services to you. Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have assessed that our interests do not override your rights and freedoms, and you may object to that processing at any time.
5. Advertising and lead generation forms
We may advertise on LinkedIn and other platforms. Some of our advertisements may use lead generation forms hosted on the platform itself rather than on our website.
If you choose to submit one of these forms, the platform passes us the information shown in the form, which is typically pre-filled from your profile and may include your name, email address, telephone number, job title, company name, company size, industry and country, together with your answers to any additional questions we ask and any consent boxes you tick.
We will use that information to:
- contact you about the specific product, service, resource or event referred to in the advertisement;
- assess whether our services are relevant to your organisation, and follow up by email, telephone or messaging;
- send you further marketing communications, where you have consented to receive them;
- add your details to our customer relationship management system so that our sales team can manage the enquiry.
Submitting a form does not oblige you to buy anything, and you can ask us to stop contacting you at any time using the details in section 13.
The advertising platform is a separate data controller for the data it holds about you and for the way it targets and measures advertising. 6. Retargeting and audience measurement
Our website currently uses Google Analytics (GA4) to measure how visitors use our site — pages viewed, traffic sources and general engagement. We do not currently deploy the LinkedIn Insight Tag, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel or similar retargeting/advertising pixels on this website. If that changes, this section will be updated to name the specific tools in use.
You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking through your browser settings or by using a browser extension such as Google's own opt-out add-on.
7. Cookies
Our website uses cookies. Strictly necessary cookies are required for the site to function and are set automatically. We also use Google Analytics cookies to measure site traffic and usage.
We do not currently operate a cookie-consent banner on this website; a formal consent mechanism is planned. In the meantime, most browsers allow you to view, block or delete cookies through their settings — this may affect how parts of the website work.
8. Who we share your personal data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only as follows:
- Service providers acting on our instructions, including our website host, customer relationship management and email platforms, cloud infrastructure providers, analytics providers, and professional advisers. These providers are bound by contract to process personal data only as we instruct and to keep it secure.
- Group companies, channel partners and authorised resellers, where this is necessary to respond to your enquiry or to serve your organisation.
- Regulators, government authorities, courts and law enforcement, where we are required to disclose data by law or by a lawful order.
- A purchaser or successor, in the event of a merger, acquisition or reorganisation of our business.
9. Transfers outside the Kingdom
Some of our service providers store or process personal data outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Where we transfer personal data outside the Kingdom, we do so in accordance with the PDPL and the Regulation on Personal Data Transfer outside the Kingdom, and we apply the appropriate safeguards required by those rules, including assessing the level of protection in the destination country and putting contractual protections in place with the recipient.

10. How long we keep your personal data
We keep personal data only for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected for.
- Enquiries that do not lead to a commercial relationship: [retention period pending] from your last interaction with us.
- Marketing contacts: until you withdraw consent or unsubscribe, and thereafter only a minimal suppression record so that we do not contact you again.
- Customer and contractual records: for the duration of the relationship and [retention period pending] afterwards, or longer where tax, accounting or regulatory rules require it.
- Website analytics data: per Google Analytics' standard retention settings.
When personal data is no longer needed, we destroy it or irreversibly anonymise it.
11. Security
We apply organisational, technical and administrative measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the data, including access controls, encryption in transit, restricted administrative privileges, supplier due diligence and staff awareness training. No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but we review our controls regularly and maintain procedures for responding to any personal data breach, including notifying the competent authority and affected individuals where the law requires it.

Under the PDPL you have the right to:
- be informed about how and why we process your personal data;
- access your personal data that we hold;
- obtain a copy of your personal data in a readable and clear format;
- request correction of personal data that is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date;
- request destruction of your personal data where it is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected for, or where our processing was based on your consent;
- withdraw your consent at any time, where our processing is based on consent.
If you are located in a jurisdiction with additional rights — for example the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom — those additional rights, including the rights to object, to restrict processing and to data portability, will also apply to you where the relevant law applies to our processing.

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any message we send you.

14. Children
Our website and services are directed at businesses and professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 18 through our marketing channels. If you believe we have done so, please contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or in the law. The version in force is always the one published on this page, and the date at the top shows when it was last revised. Where changes are significant, we will notify you by a notice on our website or by email.
