About saferoad
We are an IoT enabled mobility intelligence provider, pioneering the Saudi market and leading the industry as the first & only Saudi full stack telematics solutions provider with in-house hardware and software.
Saferoad was envision by Mohannad Al Haj as a company that saves lives. Guided by this principle, Mohannad has led Saferoad since its establishment in 2009 until the present time. Starting from a small warehouse in Khobar, Saferoad now is a major IoT and telematics player in the market, with over 1000 corporate clients and 200k+ connected devices and sensors. Our efforts have been focused on the creation of solutions and products that improves the lives of people, enhances safety and builds the foundation of future cities.

Milestones
2009
- Establishment of Saferoad
- Basic hardware development with limited location tracking using online web application
2010-2012
- Development of new hardware
- HW/SW approval for Truck haulers in Saudi Aramco
- Development of DMD Solution with Aramco
2013
- Development of new smart devices
- Safety tracking device developed to meet Aramco’s expectations
- Analyzing driving behaviors and sending alarms
2014
- Development of Astrolabe Series
2015-2016
- Big Data Processing: initiation of BI analysis for the big data, which helped clients increase fleet safety
- Launch of a new Analysis Tool (DAT): in-house designed new tool called Driver Analytical Tool – DAT, to be able to study driving behavior and use it to decrease accidents.
2017
- Launch of new Astrolabe device
- Launch of OBDII with the ability to process huge amounts of data from a vehicle which increases the benefit and application of the existing big data.
2018-2019
- Development of a machine learning engine that empowers news services and applications such as UBI and preventive maintenance
2020-2022
- Development of Saferoad IoT hub platform that enables new MAAS services and integration with a wide range of 3rd party apps
2023
